Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B for a distinctive mix. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician singing and playing in the local church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in Atlanta's R&B scene. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her an opportunity to be the choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's inaugural in 2009.
